Candy vs Trapped in a purple haze

Is it just me or do these two movies appear very similar

• Boy meets girl. 
•  One of them is an addict. 
•  Heroin. 
•  They fall in love. 
•  At first, the non-addict tries the drug just for fun. 
•  Just to fit in with the addict. 
•  The addict doesn't want to spoil the clean one but still lets him/her try. 
• Occasional leads to frequent. 
• Frequent leads to chronic. 
• Money problems. 
• The addict depends on the non addict heavily for the money. 
• Get involved in immorality for the money. 
• Things get worse. 
• OD. 
• Impossible to stop using. 
• The girl gets involved with another guy in the end. Just to keep using. 
• From then onwards downhill.

All said and done, I must say Candy is a much better watch. Mainly because of the actors. Who wouldn't wanna watch Heath Ledger. Abbie Cornish is always a delight to watch. Maybe this movie might change a few lives. I hope it does.
